We are looking for a great storyteller and talented Marketer to help position Terrain as a leader at the dynamic intersection where HR Tech & Prop Tech meet.
The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for building compelling stories based on our data, creating engaging and unique content, owning and driving our blog and other social media efforts. In this role, you will partner with our Product & Analysts teams to build compelling stories based on customer insights and other key themes.
At your core, you have a passion for writing about leading edge technology and concepts. You possess a balanced blend of strategic and analytical thinking, strong understanding of B2B marketing best practices, and cross-functional project management skills. You excel in distilling complex and technical ideas into effective long and short form content and narratives geared towards a variety of audience types ranging from CHROs & HR Business Partners to C-Suite leaders to Private Equity Investors across a wide breadth of industries including Technology, Life Sciences, CPG and Commercial Real Estate.
Additionally, you are very comfortable with cross-functional collaboration, managing deadlines, engaging with freelancers, and enabling the team with top-notch, SEO optimized content. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to operate and excel at a strategic as well as tactical level.
As our first marketing hire, you will formulate and drive integrated marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement and conversion. Closely partnering with our VP of Product, you will drive the content strategy, optimizing the combination of long-form (thought-provoking research, whitepapers, solution briefs) and short-form (blogs, articles, customer playbooks, FAQs, sales sheets, testimonials & case studies) content.
You will design a 12-month rolling editorial calendar and partner with our Product and Customer teams to take sophisticated topics and turn those into compelling points of view that HR leaders, Real Estate investors and C-suite audiences connect with. By combining both storytelling and research, you will lead our company-wide effort to build and evolve our narrative to engage and delight audiences in our brand.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in planning, developing and driving the overall Terrain SEO strategy, including the performance of Terrain’s website and organic search rankings and leading the measurement & analysis of all marketing efforts.
You are comfortable working with content management systems. You are the type of person who wants to be a part of a cross-functional team with a strategic mindset to enable marketing, business development, partners and product teams as we work together to achieve our aggressive goals. Naturally, you also love data and will lead efforts to monitor and evaluate the marketing funnel, performance of sales assets and activation materials to develop strategies to maximize win rates.
